Daco Fire Equipment has been serving the firefighting industry since 1962. We provide everything from Apparatus to lose equipment, including servicing. We service any manufacturer’s Fire Trucks and Ambulances, fire extinguishers, Amkus rescue tools, Drager SCBAs, and aerial and pump testing. We build our own Brush trucks from the ground up at our factory in Lubbock, TX. Daco Fire Equipment is family-owned and operated, servicing thousands of clients throughout Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
What started out as a small business producing lightning rods for buildings began to grow over the years. After being funded by S.A “Tiny” Davis in 1962 we then purchased and moved into the current location of the Lubbock Office in 1977. By 1983 We had purchased the adjacent land to expand our service facilities. In 1989 we further expanded, building a warehouse, 100’ X 50’, again increasing the service facilities to handle the larger volume of service work. We now have three service locations, Lubbock TX, Haltom City TX (often referred to as the Fort Worth Office), and one satellite location in Houston TX.
By 2002 Daco Fire Equipment had begun manufacturing small grass trucks and once again expanded by adding a 50’ X50’ manufacturing facility. This brush truck business eventually turned into what is now known as Brushfighter. At this time we also became a dealer for what is now known as Rosenbauer America, a division of Rosenbauer. Rosenbauer is the leading and largest Fire Apparatus manufacturer worldwide and based out of Austria. All of our Rosenbauer Apparatus are manufactured here in the United States with five factory locations across the country. Rosenbauer builds its own chassis from the ground up, starting with the sheet metal itself. For more information on Rosenbauer and to see video tours of all factories, head over here.
Due to our continuous growth, in 2008 we purchased a three-acre, 10,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in north Lubbock. This expanded DACO’s ability to perform maintenance for existing customers and increased orders for small fire apparatus. Today Brushfighter can provide Brushtrucks across the United States. In 2010 we added a second office in the DFW metro area, located in Haltom City, in the northeastern area of Fort Worth, allowing the increase of sales and service provided all throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
In 2018 we added a mobile app to the Apple Store and Google Store, adding even more convenience of availability to our customers. This app is free and contains all of our social media accounts, the most up-to-date territory map so that you can easily locate the sales rep for an area. It also contains a link to our website, easy only request forms to receive service, estimates, parts, and quotes. Even an area where you can build your own truck and send off for an estimate.
In 2020 we welcomed a satellite service center out of Houston TX to better service our customers. We have several highly trained, skilled, and certified technicians. We provide in-house (yours or ours) services, warranty repairs and pump testing and offer them as no contact when requested.
In 2021 we expanded into New Mexico, offering Amkus Rescue Tools.
2022 we will be celebrating our 60th anniversary, thanks to all of our amazing and loyal customers we have forged lasting relationships with throughout the years. As we continue to grow and expand we will continue to offer high-quality services and products and outstanding customer care.
