SAFE-D FRIEND:
We need your help if you want to give ESDs access to BILLIONS of DOLLARS in Federal Funds!
The Legislature begins a special session Monday (Sept. 20) to determine how to appropriate almost $16 BILLION in American Rescue Plan Act funds.
It’s FOUND money for the Legislature. But ESDs could LOSE their opportunity to share in that windfall if SAFE-D doesn’t get hard numbers about the needs ESDs face.
SAFE-D Legislative Counsel John Carlton says ESDs have
10 days to provide hard data that can persuade the Legislature to loosen the purse strings.
